Chamomile tea

Chamomile tea has a calming effect and it is often used as a cure for insomnia. It relieves stomach pain, as well as the symptoms of indigestion: cramps, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, gastritis, etc. Furthermore, it relieves the pain caused by the malfunction of kidneys, liver or bile.

Peppermint tea

Peppermint tea falls under the category of teas which can be used by everyone, regardless of age. It has a characteristic mint flavor that pleases both children and adults. It has been used as a mild calming, sedative remedy since it has a calming effect on abdominal muscles and accelerates the expulsion of gas from the digestive tract. It can be used as a warm and cold drink.

Rose hip tea

This kind of tea is known for the high content of vitamin C which has an antioxidant effect. It also contains vitamins A, D, E as well as fruit acids, tannin, pectin and carotenoid. The tea can help with a bladder infection, headaches and dizziness. Moreover, it reduces fatigue, exhaustion and disease susceptibility. Fruit acids in rosehip have a favorable effect on the secretion of urine, so they prevent the occurrence of urinary stones in ureters and kidneys.

Hibiscus tea

Since this kind of tea contains high quantities of vitamin C and flavonoid, it has a strong antioxidant effect and thus it improves the body immune system. Because of that, the use of tea made from this herb is recommended during winter, when the occurrence of flu is higher since it has a strong effect on the recovery process of the whole body.

For refreshment: Mix hibiscus tea with mint and cool it. It is delicious, try it!

Nettle tea

Since it contains high percentages of iron, nettle tea improves the creation of red blood cells. This kind of tea also facilitates the process of supplying the body with oxygen and has a positive effect on patients who suffer from anemia. Furthermore, it purifies the blood so it is very useful when treating skin diseases and acnes. It reduces the level of sugar in the blood and improves circulation.

Rtanj tea

This kind of tea contains a high percentage of essential oil and tannin. Since it has a strong antiseptic effect it is used when treating respiratory diseases, diseases of digestive system and urinary organs. It also improves the overall condition of the body. It is very efficient in treating diabetes, since it quenches thirst and reliefs the pain in gastro-intestinal system. It acts as an aphrodisiac.

Thyme

This tea is used in treating bronchitis, cough and it also has a strong effect of disinfection. It serves as a remedy for improvement of the stomach, and when mixed with nettle tea it is efficient in treating anemia. It is used when treating intestinal parasites – pinworms. Thyme tea has to be prepared in closed container since it contains ingredients that can easily evaporate and then prepared tea has no medical purposes.

Black tea

Numerous scientific research shows that a cup of black tea soothes tense nerves, improves your mood and reduces the risk of malignant diseases. Because of its ingredients (caffeine) black tea stimulates and invigorates and therefore reduces fatigue and sleepiness. Sage (Salvia officinalis)

Marshmallow tea

St. John’s wort
